Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre...

...and the sound of melody.

With trumpets and the sound of the horn...

Make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord.

Make a joyful noise...

...to the Lord, all the earth.

Break forth into joyous song...

and sing praises.

Let the hills sing together...

...for joy at the presence of the Lord.

Welcome to the Music Ministry

The music ministry is a very active part of the Reformed Church's ongoing initiatives to move forward toward growth and outreach. Music Co-Directors Mi-Won Kim and Jeremy Goldsmith bring their considerable expertise to bear in an ambitious program not only to provide music for regular Sunday services, but also to reach beyond the church to the community.

 Choir

The chancel choir continues to grow in size and ability, learning a new anthem each week during the spring, fall and winter, with choir rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. The choir begins its summer break in mid-June when the congregation moves to the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow for Sunday worship services, continuing there until after Labor Day in September. The choir resumes rehearsals in late August in preparation for the congregation's return to the Clock Church.

The Handbell Choir is comprised of volunteers whose skills continue to broaden. Rehearsal time is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., suspended during the summer.

7 Sundays of Special Music Returns to Old Dutch

Blake RoweThe popular annual music series "Seven Sundays: A Celebration of Music in Worship" is returning to Old Dutch Church this summer. On Sundays starting July 2 and continuing through Aug. 13, worshippers will gather at 10 a.m. for a worship service that includes professional musicians. Different music styles will help all present to experience the liturgy and the Word in a new and innovative ways, says Rev. Jeffrey Gargano.

The first musician on the schedule is Blake Rowe (pictured), a pianist, teacher and singer-songwriter whose songs lean toward musical theater and country-folk. His first recording of songs for children, "It's a Lazy Day" received a Parent Choice Award and his second recording, "Circle of Life" received Honorable Mention in the Children's Music Web Awards. He teaches music at the Fieldston Lower Elementary School in Riverdale, NY. Full schedule
